Adrian Eli has worked professionally as an actor for over a decade in TV, film, commercials, theater and voiceover. Adrian trained in Meisner technique under William Alderson and studied improv and sketch comedy at the Upright Citizens Brigade, Groundlings, and under Miles Stroth. He has performed improv and sketch in the indie circuit for years and also on the Sunday Sketch Show at iO West.
He premiered his self-written one-man show “A Crazy Thing Happened On My Way Out” to a sold-out crowd in the 90 seat Whitefire Theatre at the 2018 SoloFest earning him rave reviews! Later renamed “Baby Boy”, Adrian performed his show for a one month run as part of the 2018 Hollywood Fringe Festival, earning him the first place Audience Choice Award and the Hollywood Encore Producers Award which allowed for an extension of the show. Upon completion of the encore run, “Baby Boy” was hand selected along with ten other shows out of hundreds of other Fringe shows, to perform yet again for the “One More Chance” run to compete for a spot to perform at the Off-Broadway Soho Playhouse Theatre in New York! Adrian is currently busy re-working and polishing his finishing touches of “Baby Boy” to bring it to the stage once again. Stay tuned for more on that!
Aside from being an actor, Adrian is also a writer and has a deep passion for storytelling. He has written several short film scripts including his short film, Funny Love, which played at several film festivals nationwide. Funny Love premiered at the 2015 Dances With Films Festival in Hollywood and earned him the Best Actor Award at the Official Latino Film festival in New York. His love for storytelling has kept him active in the story-telling competition circuit and won first place at the Moth Story Slam competition making him a finalist in the Grand Slam Championship in 2018. Adrian enjoys performing with Story Pirates, an arts education non-profit organization that encourages confidence and literacy in children through self expression and story telling. He also dances flamenco in the Saturday Flamenco show at the famous El Cid.
